Make sure all windows are closed and cabin and shop doors are locked.

    Mopping:

The kitchen, dining room and bathrooms will need to be swept and mopped at the end of your stay.

There is a Swiffer mop and supplies in the laundry room.

Attach a new pad to the Swiffer mop, make sure there is Swiffer product in the bottle and give the floors a good shine.

If there are no Swiffer supplies, there is a string mop and mop bucket.

    Porches:

For those who stay at the cabin in May and June you might be greeted with a thick coat of green pollen on the porches.

The pollen gets carried in on our feet and into the carpet.

Pollen really did a number on the vacuum cleaner in 2022.

Please help by giving the porches a quick sweep.

There is a blower in the storage shed that works well also.

    Vacuum Cleaner:

It is very important that the vacuum cleaner is in good working order every time it is used.

If there are issues with the vacuum that cannot be resolved, let us know.

Replacement bags are on shelf in the hall closet

Make sure the vacuum cleaner has suction. (short instructional video at bottom of this section)

Lift up on the handle of the hose extension and check the suction at the end of the wand.

If there is no suction, the hose is probably clogged.

Find a way to unclog the hose.

If the bag is full, an orange light will illuminate at the top of the bag compartment.

Change the bag. (short instructional video at bottom of this section)
